What is MOVEMBER?

Movember is a public awareness campaign encouraging men to grow their mustaches in the month of November, to help raise awareness of important men’s health issues. Participants have the chance to register their mustache and raise money for research and education into men’s health issues such as prostate cancer and more.

Why is it Important?

Movember aims to change the face of men’s health by putting a fun twist on a serious issue. Using the mustache as a catalyst, organizers seek to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to talk about their health more openly, and take action.

Many Movember campaigns revolve around early detection of prostate cancer, using the PSA test and other tools.
