St. Patrick’s Day is here and things are starting to turn green. Spring is just a few days away! Store windows and restaurants around town are covered with shamrocks and decorations in celebration of this popular holiday.

After all, any occasion to add more greens to your diet is a reason to rejoice, right? It’s the perfect time to start preparing for a revitalizing spring cleanse.

We thought we’d share one of our favorite green smoothie recipes for St. Patrick’s Day — a healthy tip in our ongoing Spring Detox Special.

Here’s how you make it:

Detox Made Easy

There’s a myth going around about detox. Many people believe that detoxification and cleanse programs have to be grueling lessons in fasting and deprivation. That we must feel worse before we can feel better.

But this isn’t the case! Effective detoxification programs don’t have to be painful, uncomfortable or difficult. If we simply eat more nutrient-dense foods (particularly greens), increase exercise, and choose gentle yet powerful detox supplements, we can revitalize health by gently eliminating toxins and promoting optimal vitality and wellbeing.*

If you’re thinking about starting a spring cleanse, now is a great time to begin planning healthy meals, gathering the right detox herbs and nutrients, and scheduling time for supportive therapies like acupuncture, yoga, and healthy stress relief.

For expert tips and advice, read our article on how to get the most out of your cleanse experience and avoid the all too common “cleanse pitfalls” that give healthy detox a bad name.*

A gentle spring cleanse should be an uplifting and rejuvenating process and a celebration of wellness. Make your detox program as comfortable and enjoyable as you like – it’s your opportunity to pamper yourself with nourishing and health promoting practices!*
